About

Youth pastor, seminary student, and minister.

I'm a youth pastor at Crosspoint Church in McKinney, TX, where I've been on staff since January 2025. I preach on Wednesdays and Sundays to middle and high school students, coordinate volunteers, and oversee small group programming.

I'm also pursuing a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, studying online in my second semester.

Ministry Philosophy

My mission is to develop resilient believers who love and live for Jesus — students who carry their faith through high school and into adulthood, not just teenagers who attend a youth group.

I believe the window of youth ministry is irreplaceable. What students encounter — and decide — about Jesus during these years shapes the trajectory of their lives. That conviction shapes everything about how I approach teaching, small groups, and pastoral care.

"To develop resilient believers who love and live for Jesus by leveraging every advance of our generation to point young hearts to the one true Life-Changer: Scripture fulfilled in Christ's cross and resurrection."

Teaching Approach

I preach from an outline rather than a manuscript — prioritizing eye contact, movement, and connection over a polished script. My goal is to remove every distraction and confusion from the presentation so the Word of God reaches students' hearts with maximum clarity.

Exegetically, I work from the original languages and root my applications in the text before reaching for cultural bridges. The culture is never the foundation — it's the bridge. Scripture first. Always.

Background

I grew up in Texas and have been involved in ministry in various capacities for years before joining Crosspoint staff. Outside of ministry and seminary, I'm a husband and father of three young children.
